Your job
- Together with the customers and your colleagues from the MIC Software Support you analyse and solve complex technical errors
- The automation of manual tasks to empower the product- and support-teams using our infrastructure and platform services are a central part of your job
- You make sure that the MIC-software is rightfully deployed in various customer environments and your are the internal contact person and escalation level for technical questions and problems
- Also, the Linux service configuration and implemantation scripted solutions in Bash is in your hand
- Administrating the Java web application servers (Open Liberty and Apache Tomcat) and Troubleshooting of Oracle and MariaDB databases (e.g., performance tuning) is daily business for a Systems Engineer
- Incident management is in your DNA: Continuously developing service quality and robustness through root cause analysis after incidents, post-mortems, and constant improvement of our product’s monitoring is a part of your role
- Take over “on call shifts” (including weekends) on a regular basis
Your skills and qualifications
- Completed education in IT (vocational high school, university, FH)
- High confidence working in Unix/Linux environments and a good understanding of networks and infrastructure
- Experience with operating distributed, Java-based software systems, a modern DevOps-focused toolset (e.g., Ansible, ELK) or Kubernetes is appreciated
- Good skills in Oracle SQL and experience with the Oracle Database administration
- Good analytical skills and the drive to learn and develop continuously
- Fluent in English

Compensation
We are legally required to mention the compensation for this position. We offer a minimum salary of € 45.000 gross/year (38,5 hours/week, no All-in contracts) plus an employee bonus and numerous other benefits. Of course, we are adapting the compensation according to your experience and qualification
